I'm really not a patient person at all!

Ecclesiastes 7:8 NIV version
The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.
Guys,
I feel like I have been on the best date of my life. And now I'm waiting for that special person to call me back. Of course I am referring to my interview. Its really tough to wait on a person to call you back. I have never been a patient person. Before I met my husband, if I went out with a guy and it went well I would always call him. I never waited for him to call me..I considered that time wasted.
So.......
My interviewer said he would call me within two weeks... I'm now into my 5th day since the interview. Am I the only person who stresses over this stuff??? I realize there is nothing more that can be done but to wait...so I wait.. and wait...and wait. I try to find things to occupy my mind like working out, working, eating, socializing...but then every once in a while, when I have a quiet moment to myself I suddenly get this pang in my heart! GRRR.... its a knawing feeling... 'what if I don't get the job?...what if I'm worrying over nothing??... when is he going to call me??'''.. LOL. I have already informed my mother that should she receive a letter in the mail from the agency who interviewed me, she must immediately call me and read the letter out loud. I'm preparing for both outcomes, good and bad.
Anyone got any patience they could loan me, cause I'm fresh out! LOL

I know exactly what you mean, AJ!! I hate waiting on things...especially outcomes like interviews. I have a lot of patience with my students, but in other areas of my life I seem to have very little. My fingers are still crossed for you!!

well, I know a very old joke about a guy and his donkey. His donkey is thirsty .... and the guy keeps telling the donkey
Patience, Jackass, Patience.
(anyway..............- Pamela commented at 1/17/2007 1:21 AM~
and the donkey keeps reminding the guy that he's thirsty..
and the guy keeps responding
patience Jackass Patience..
so the joke goes on and on and on and on and on
Of course you have to make up all sort of diversions while the donkey wants to get a drink of water.
Finally, while you are telling the joke, whoever you are telling the joke too gets antsy and says something like
"finish the darn joke already!"
and the joke teller says,
Patience Jackass, Patience
So thats my only knoweldge of Patience.
so, the answer is yes -- I'm just like you I am an impatient being and I'm sure the Lord has been telling me this joke for a reason.
